North County Transit District contracted Alstom (formerly Bombardier) to overhaul their Coaster commuter cars. Along with flooring, seats, and other interior overhauls was a complete refit of the lighting systems.

Utilizing LED Smarts’ full lineup of LED lamps, they updated all lights within these rail cars to LED, including linear lights and mini bulbs replacements. This reduces the overall maintenance of these vehicles for the remainder of their in-service life.

As a result, these Coaster vehicles shall see the benefits for riders with a soft white light environment that is comfortable and eco-friendly for years to come.
